I have been working with people of all ages and with all kinds of disabilities for as long as I can remember. I have always been an advocate for people who need me. My mission in life is to continue to provide support and help everyone around me succeed. I am currently working at a group home and I can honestly say that the quality of life of those living in the home and their independence have both drastically improved since my hire a year ago.
I have a wonderful family and my values and outlook on life come from them. My parents have adopted 13 children with disabilities. I have been lucky to have always been close enough to them to help and share the experiences and difficulties they have. Finding people who truly care and want to help improve lives and encourage independence hasn't always been easy. This is what I hope to do, not only with Person Centered Planning but also in my life in general.
