Melanie Scott has extensive training and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness. She has worked in the social services field as a service coordinator, program coordinator and as a social worker with a variety of different individuals with varying needs. This has given her the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of services and supports available to individuals. She also has access to an extensive network of providers across the state from whom to gather information and resources. She has an in-depth knowledge of the rules and statutes associated with Medicaid, waivered services and many federal rules associated with addressing the special needs of individuals.

Melanie is a Person Centered Planning Specialist. She considers Person Centered Planning to be an incredible tool to assist individuals with finding their dreams and helping them to have the tools and resources necessary to make their dreams come true.

Melanie is considered by many to be creative and able to think outside of the box. She is known to be very proactive and a true advocate for client rights and self-determination. She has spent many years working in the State of Idaho to support and increase the accessibility of community-based programs and reduce and prevent institutionalization of individuals with special needs.

Melanie is the CEO of Scott Community Care, a social service agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. She has served on a number of advisory boards, rule writing committees and as the president of the Case Management Association of Idaho.

In her spare time she is a wife, mother of 4 children, and volunteers with her local ambulance, fire department and church group.
