| CDHD to Partner with National Professional Development Center on Spectrum DisordersThe Center on Disabilities and Human Development has been awarded a professional development partnership grant through the National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders (NPDC on ASD). Through the Autism Support Project, CDHD will increase the number of highly qualified personnel serving children and youth with ASD. Idaho was one of three states (Idaho, Rhode Island, and Vermont) chosen to receive the grant award. "Show Me the Money" is a 7-part webinar series being developed by the CDHD Research Team to provide training on successful grant writing. The series began March 2010 and will run monthly through September 2010. Topics in the series include:

- reviewing an announcement and program planning
- writing competitive proposals
- budget development
- post-award grant administration

The University of Idaho offers 5 new Master’s level courses leading to an area of emphasis in teaching students with low-incidence or severe disabilities. All courses are delivered by University of Idaho Special Education faculty via online distance education. This program will prepare you to become a professional educator who can provide quality educational programs to children, adolescents, and adults with low-incidence or severe disabilities in a variety of educational settings.
