Foundations of ASD Online Course: Course Content

The National Professional Development Center on ASD had developed foundational information on Autism Spectrum Disorders including recommended and evidence-based practices for early identification and diagnosis, as well as for intervention and education. We are making the content of this course available to increase knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorders and the challenges individuals with ASD encounter.

The Interactive Collaborative Autism Network (ICAN): Modules

The site is a collaborative effort among three states: the State Departments of Education of Connecticut (CT) and Minnesota (MN) and the University of Kansas (KU) to use the World Wide Web (WWW) as a means of supporting and facilitating training. The site was developed to disseminate information about characteristics, assessment, and research-based interventions and services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

University of Idaho Autism Webinars: Autism and Asperger Syndrome

Webinars provide evidence based practice information for educators and parents which supports learners with autism spectrum disorders.

University of Idaho Center on Disabilities and Human Development Autism Supports Project: Autism Supports Online

This is an online course which introduces the Autism Supports model to school teams. Originally presented in a two-day workshop, it is now available in a condensed online format.

University of Idaho Certificate of Completion: Low Incidence Disabilities

The University of Idaho College of Education offers a series of World Wide Web courses designed to provide advanced expertise in teaching students with low incidence and severe disabilities. These master's level courses are available to prospective students holding a bachelor's degree and holding an Idaho Standard Exceptional Child Certificate, School Psychologist, or Speech/Language Pathologist licenses, or the equivalent certification or licensure from another state.

University of Idaho Graduate Course: Teaching Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders

This course is an advanced course which assumes a basic understanding of assessment and curriculum development, communication disorders, and applied behavior analysis for students with developmental disabilities, which include those with autism spectrum disorders.
