Individuals who wish to receive certification as DS for Children must have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in: Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech/Language Pathology, OT, PT, Deaf Education, Elementary Education, or LPC-PP.
If your degree is not in one of the field above, you must first take the DS Adult exam in order to qualify to take the DS for Children course and exam.
The ordering information for the study guide is below. Once you have studied the manual and are ready to take the DS Adult exam, contact the ITC at balanoff@uidaho.edu and your exam will be sent to the proctor. Upon passing the DS Adult exam, you will be notified of your approval to take the DS for Children course.
