How can the Positive Behavioral Supports Project ASSIST your school?

The Positive Behavioral Supports Project provides training and coaching to districts, school teams, and mentors at three levels of tiered interventions.

Tier 1. School-wide Supports
Creating a sustainable positive climate and learning environment for all students.

Tier 2. Classroom and targeted interventions
Creating effective classroom environments and focused intervention supports for at-risk students.

Tier 3.  Individual Supports
Intensive interventions that include functional assessment, behavior planning, implementation, and monitoring for students not responding to tier 1 or tier 2 level supports.

Eligibility

  • Any school district within the state of Idaho may apply.
  • Applications for technical assistance are accepted at any time.
  • Technical assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
  • Priority will be given to the severity of the behaviors being exhibited, the degree to which the student is at risk of being expelled, and rural applicants.
  • The PBS process is applicable for any individual exhibiting challenging behaviors.
